General

Do you serve my area?

We are based in Jackson and work across the metro, including Madison, Ridgeland, Brandon, Flowood, Pearl, Clinton, Byram, Richland and Canton. See the full list on our service areas page.

How long does a garage floor take?

Most two car garages take one to two days of work, then cure time. Plan on about 3 to 7 days before you park, depending on temperature.

Why does prep matter so much?

Coatings bond to open, clean concrete. Grinding removes the smooth top layer, old sealer and contamination so the coating locks in. Skipping it is the main reason DIY kits peel.

Do you work in summer heat?

Yes. Heat and humidity change how fast coatings cure, so we schedule mixing and application for the cooler hours and watch slab and dew point temperatures.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Every floor carries our workmanship guarantee. Where the coating product carries manufacturer coverage, we pass that along too.

Epoxy floor coating

How long does an epoxy floor last?

That depends on the prep, the build and how hard the floor is used. A properly ground, fully built floor holds up for many years in a home, and the clear topcoat can be refreshed when it wears without redoing the whole floor.

How long before I can use the floor?

You can usually walk on it after about 24 hours. Plan on about 3 to 7 days before heavy use or parking, depending on temperature.

Do you grind every floor?

Yes. Coatings bond to open, clean concrete. Grinding removes the smooth top layer, old sealer and contamination so the coating locks in.

How much does epoxy floor coating cost?

Price depends on the size of the floor, the slab condition and how the space is used. We measure on site, check the slab and give you a free written estimate.

Can epoxy go on an old, stained concrete floor?

Usually, yes. Grinding removes most surface staining and contamination, and we repair cracks and pits before coating. Deep oil soak may need extra cleaning, which we check during the assessment.

Concrete epoxy floor installation

How soon can new concrete be coated with epoxy?

It depends on the slab and the weather. We moisture test rather than guess, and schedule the install once the readings are right.

Do you have to grind a brand new slab?

Yes. New slabs have a weak, smooth top layer and often curing compound from the pour. Grinding removes both so the primer bonds to sound concrete.

Can you install over an existing coating?

Only if it is well bonded. Failing coatings are ground off first, and that work is covered on our floor refinishing page.

How long does a concrete epoxy floor installation take?

Most garages and small rooms take a couple of days on site, depending on size and repairs. You can usually walk on the floor after about 24 hours, with full use about 3 to 7 days later.

What happens if epoxy goes on concrete that is too wet?

Trapped moisture can push up under the coating and cause bubbles, blisters or lifting. That is why we test before we install.

Do I need to be home during the install?

Not the whole time. We need access to the space, power and a clear floor, and we will walk you through the timing before we start.

How long before I can park on an epoxy garage floor?

You can usually walk on it after about 24 hours. Plan on about 3 to 7 days before parking, depending on temperature.

How long does an epoxy garage floor last?

It depends on prep, coating thickness and use. A properly ground and fully built floor holds up to daily parking for many years, and the clear topcoat can be refreshed later.

Will hot tires lift the coating?

Not on a properly prepped floor. Hot tire pickup comes from coatings laid on unground concrete or applied too thin. We diamond grind every floor before coating.

Can you coat over oil stains?

Light staining usually grinds out. Deep oil needs extra cleaning and grinding so the coating bonds, and we will tell you at the estimate if a stain needs more work.

Do you fix cracks before coating?

Yes. We fill cracks, joints and pitting as part of the prep. If a crack looks like it is still moving, we will tell you before we start.

How much does a garage floor epoxy coating cost?

It depends on the size of the floor, the slab condition and how much repair it needs. We measure on site and give you a free written estimate.

Commercial floor coating

Can you coat our floor while we stay open?

Yes, by phasing the floor into sections and working nights or weekends. We lay out which areas close when before work starts.

How long is a commercial floor out of service?

Foot traffic can usually return after about 24 hours, and full use after about 3 to 7 days depending on temperature. Each phase gets its own times in the written scope.

Can you add safety lines and forklift lanes?

Yes. Walkways, forklift lanes and zone markings can go in as part of the job.

Will the coating hold up to forklift traffic?

Yes, when the slab is diamond ground, damaged areas are repaired and the coating is built to the right thickness for the traffic. We size the system after seeing the floor and how it is used.

Can you make the floor less slippery?

Yes. We can add slip texture to the coating in kitchens, wash bays, entries and other areas that get wet or greasy.

How much does commercial floor coating cost?

It depends on the square footage, slab condition, repair needed, the coating system and the schedule. We visit the site and give you a free written estimate with the scope laid out.

Concrete floor polishing

View service
Is polished concrete or epoxy better?

Polished concrete has no coating to wear through and is very low upkeep. Epoxy hides stains and damage, adds color and seals better against spills. The slab and how you use the space decide it.

Can an existing concrete floor be polished?

Often, yes. Old coatings, glue and tile residue are ground off first. We check the slab in person before giving a written estimate.

How long before I can use a polished floor?

Usually the same day. There is no coating that needs to cure, so foot traffic can return once the guard is buffed in.

Is polished concrete slippery?

A clean, dry polished floor is generally not slippery. Water, oil or dust on the surface is what makes it slick, so keep it clean and dry, and choose a lower sheen if you are concerned.

Will polishing hide cracks and stains?

No. Polishing shows the slab as it is, including stains and filled cracks. If you want those covered, an epoxy coating is the better fit.

Does polished concrete work in a home?

Yes. It suits slab-on-grade homes with an open, modern look, especially living areas and shops. We check the slab first, since flooring adhesive and patches will show in the finish.

Do you polish concrete outside Jackson?

Yes. We work across Hinds, Madison and Rankin counties. See our service areas, then call or request a free estimate.

Floor polishing

How often should a floor be polished?

It depends on traffic. Busy retail floors may need it a few times a year, while homes need it far less often. We can suggest a schedule after seeing the floor.

What is the difference between floor polishing and refinishing?

Polishing restores shine on a sound floor. If a coating is worn through, peeling or lifting, the floor needs refinishing instead.

How long does floor polishing take?

It depends on the size and condition of the floor. Most jobs are finished and the floor is back in use the same day.

Can you polish floors after hours?

Yes. We are open 24 hours, so we can work overnight or before you open to keep your business running.

Why does my polished concrete look dull after mopping?

Usually it is cleaner residue or fine grit. Switch to plain water or a neutral cleaner and dust mop daily. If the shine does not come back, the floor is due for polishing.

Do I need to move furniture before floor polishing?

Clearing the floor helps us reach the whole surface and keeps the sheen even. We go over what needs to move when we schedule the work.

Concrete staining

View service
Will the color look like the sample?

Close, but every slab takes stain a little differently. That is why we test on your concrete before doing the whole floor.

Can stained concrete go outside?

Yes. Patios and porches are common, sealed to protect the color from sun and rain.

How long before I can walk on a stained floor?

Once the sealer dries, usually the next day. We give you the walk-on and full-use times in writing for your job.

Can you stain old concrete?

Often, yes, as long as the surface can be cleaned and opened up so the stain can soak in. We look at the slab on the site visit and tell you how existing marks and repairs will show.

Does stained concrete hide cracks?

No. Stain colors what is there, so cracks and patches stay visible. If you want a solid, uniform look, an epoxy coating is the better choice.

How often does stained concrete need resealing?

Every few years for most floors, sooner on patios in full sun or high traffic areas. When water stops beading on the surface, it is time.

How much does concrete staining cost?

It depends on the size of the area, the condition of the slab and how much prep it needs. We measure on site and give you a free written estimate, and you can request one on our free estimate page.

Concrete patio floor installation

View service
When can we use the new patio?

Plan on about 7 days before light use such as furniture and regular foot traffic. Concrete keeps gaining strength for about 28 days, and we give you the times in writing.

Why does base prep matter so much here?

Local clay soils move with moisture. A well-built, compacted base and control joints are what keep a patio from cracking and settling.

Will my new concrete patio crack?

All concrete can develop small cracks as it shrinks and moves. Control joints, a compacted base and proper curing keep those cracks controlled and in the joints.

Which way should a patio slope?

Away from the house, so rain runs off the surface and away from the foundation and doors.

Can you stain or coat a new patio?

Yes, once the concrete has cured. Staining adds color and is sealed against sun and rain, and coating is an option for covered areas.

How much does a concrete patio cost?

It depends on the size, the shape, the ground and the finish you want. We measure on site and give you a free written estimate.

Do you install patios outside Jackson?

Yes. We work across the Jackson metro, including Madison, Ridgeland, Brandon, Flowood, Pearl and Clinton. See our service areas page for the full list.

Floor refinishing

View service
Do I need a refresh or a full redo?

If the coating is still bonded and only worn on top, a refresh works. If it is peeling, lifting or sounds hollow when tapped, it has to come off and be redone. We check in person before giving a written estimate.

Can you recoat over an old epoxy floor?

Yes, if the old coating is well bonded. We clean it, repair damage and scuff the whole surface so the new topcoat grips. We do not recoat over coating that is already lifting.

Why is my garage floor coating peeling?

The most common causes are poor prep, moisture coming up through the slab, and hot tires lifting a thin coating. We find the cause first so the new floor does not fail the same way.

How long does floor refinishing take?

A refresh is often done in a day with light use in a day or two. A full redo follows the new coating schedule: walk on in about 24 hours and full use in about 3 to 7 days, depending on temperature.

How much does floor refinishing cost?

It depends on the size of the floor, its condition and whether it needs a refresh or a full redo. We measure on site and give you a free written estimate. Request one here.

Do you remove the old floor?

Yes, if you ask. Mention it when you request your estimate and we will include removal, disposal and adhesive scraping in the written estimate.

Do I need to level my concrete slab before new flooring?

Usually some leveling is needed. Most slabs have dips or high spots, and nearly every floor covering needs a flat surface to lie and wear properly. We check flatness at the site visit.

Why test a slab for moisture before installing a floor?

Vapor rising through the slab can loosen, stain or warp a new floor. In the Jackson metro, with clay soils and heavy rain, it is a real risk, so we check before every job.

How long does a flooring installation take?

It depends on the size of the space, how much leveling the slab needs and whether old flooring comes out first. Your written estimate includes a schedule for your job.

Can you install flooring in a business?

Yes. We prep and install in offices and retail spaces and can schedule the work in sections or around business hours.

Is a seamless floor a better choice for a slab home?

It can be. Epoxy coating and polished concrete use the slab itself and have no seams, and we can price both at the same visit.

How do I get an estimate for new flooring?
